Kids, Tweens, and Teens
It can be overwhelming and a bit scary having a child or teenager with high anxiety and/or obsessive-compulsive disorder, tics or Tourettes. Often times the household starts functioning around the anxiety, and other family members can feel like they're being held hostage. This is no way to live, and is an indicator that you may need some assistance.
Child or Adolescent Therapy can Help
As a Behavioral Specialist who works part-time as the Program Manager for an Intensive Outpatient Program for anxiety disorders, I've seen my fair share of children and teens with severe anxiety who have blossomed. With the proper treatment your loved one can learn the tools to help them move forward in life. I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that can help your little one start thinking in new ways, and better manage difficult emotions. I also have specialized training in Pediatric OCD from the Behavior Therapy Training Institute, and enjoy working with children and teens to help them manage obsessions and compulsions.
